The right mic and speakers, every time.

Walk into a room and Windows has picked the laptop speakers again, or last week’s headset. AudioSwytch sits in the tray and watches your audio devices: when the room’s kit appears, it makes it the default - output and input both - and when it goes, it falls back to whatever you ranked next. You set the order once, in a small config file, and it just holds.

The payoff

Nobody touches the sound settings again.

No clicks at allThe room’s mic and speakers are already selected before anyone joins the call
Fewer IT tickets“Nobody can hear us in room 3” stops landing in the support queue
Nothing to learnStaff do nothing differently - the app is invisible until it is needed
The meeting-room problem

Why can’t I hear anyone, why can’t they hear me?

Plug a laptop into a room and Windows decides for itself which speakers and microphone to use. It often lands on the laptop’s own - or on a headset someone left paired last week. The call starts, nobody can hear the room, and somebody walks to the front to fix it in the sound settings.

The call running through the laptop mic while the room system sits idle.
A headset that left the building last week, still the default.
Someone at the front of the room hunting through sound settings, mid-meeting.
IT fielding “nobody can hear us” tickets that never quite end.
How it works

Set the order once. Leave it alone.

AudioSwytch lives in the tray and does one job: when you plug in to a meeting room it makes certain that’s the speaker and mic that get used.

Install it on the room PC

One small installer. It starts with Windows as a scheduled task and needs no admin rights to run.

List the devices, best first

A small config file names each device and gives it a priority. You edit it by hand, there is no settings screen to adjust.

Forget about it

Devices come and go and AudioSwytch follows, for output and input alike. A change to the config takes effect immediately.

What you get

Small app. One job.

Priority rules

Identify & prioritise your audio devices by rank in a simple configuration. When AudioSwytch sees that device connected it becomes the default no matter what Windows decides.

Output and input

Speakers and microphone are handled the same way, so a room system is selected for both ends of the call.

Follows the hardware

It watches Windows audio endpoints and reacts when a device is plugged in and reverts when unplugged.

Runs unattended

Starts with Windows as a scheduled task, needs no admin rights at runtime, and sits in the tray without prompting anyone.

Questions

Good to know

How does the free trial work?

Download AudioSwytch and it runs free for 7 days on any machine you install it on, no card, no sign-up. When you’re ready, buy a licence and paste your code in to keep going.

How do I pay, and what happens after?

Pick your number of devices above and pay securely by card through Stripe. We email your licence code straight away, paste it into the app (tray menu → Licence…) and you’re licensed. Your subscription renews automatically each year.

Can I add or remove devices later?

Yes. Sign in at account.audioswytch.co.uk with the email you paid with. Add devices anytime (charged pro-rata there and then); reduce them and the change applies at your next renewal.

What does it run on?

Windows 10 and Windows 11. It also needs the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime - the installer checks for it and tells you where to get it if it is missing.

Can I get a refund?

See our refund policy. If something isn’t right, email support@audioswytch.co.uk and a real person will help.
